Answers Q: Is this site free? A: 100% free! The only things you can even pay for are removing the footer link and donations. We don't plan on any sort of paid service at any point, we want our service to be free for all! Q: Do you force ads? A: Absolutely not. We have a small link on the footer back to the main site (This is the only thing we require you keep intact), but there are no advertisements which make us money. We don't feel that forum hosting should come with any price, even a simple advertisement. In fact, we let you place your own advertisements, we created a plugin specifically to let you do so. If we're not making money off of your forum, who says you can't too? Q: What is your uptime? A: 100%. We say 99.99% in the features list, to account for any freak downtime incidents which may eventually occur. Fortunately, we have not had a single minute of downtime, since the day we opened to the public! Q: How often are backups taken? A: Every single day, a backup of every single forum is taken and secured. Our goal is to preserve your forum data in the event of an emergency. The more forums we host, the more often we will start taking backups. Q: A user broke your TOS. Will my forum be deleted/suspended? A: We give forum owners plenty of time to remove offending content. If it seems your forum is inactive, save for TOS breakers, (e.g. no active administrators, cleaning it up), then we will suspend the forum. If you want the forum back, you can request unsuspension in the support forums, and we will grant your request provided the forum is cleaned in a reasonable amount of time. In general, try to prevent your users from breaking the TOS in the first place. If they do, remove the content. Q: Where can I use the embed code to embed my forum? A: On any website which supports HTML. Of course, if you want to share your forum in a place which does not support HTML, just link to your forum URL instead. Q: Why is all of this free, and what do you get out of it? A: We believe everyone should have the same opportunity to get a place to chat. We don't force ads because we believe the forums should be under your control, and forcing visual elements which are as obtrusive as advertisements goes against that idea. We get the satisfaction of knowing we are helping you, and the occasional donation. Q: How do I get started? A: Simple. Just click on "Signup" from the navigation bar on the left. Signup is instant! Once you have made your forum, login and you can start configuring it from the admin panel. |
